Who is Chrome?
Chrome Consulting was founded in 2014 and has grown to be the largest OpenText consultancy in ANZ specialising in the deployment of OpenText in an SAP context. Implementing over 80% of the OpenText Extended Content Management (xECM) projects in ANZ has given Chrome real-world experience from complex commercial sites with over 15,000 users dispersed across 120 countries to smaller state government based utilities. We also have the largest and most experienced OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) team in ANZ, with over 40 projects delivered to date. Together, both solution areas represent significant experience in understanding SAP processes and how they should best be enabled with documents to achieve business support, security, and records compliance at the state and federal level.

As a consequence of the successful Chrome projects, we were awarded the joint SAP/OpenText Partner of the Year – SAP Solution Extensions award for 2020. Chrome continues to invest in partnerships, gaining relevant certifications in products and working closely with product management in Germany for both software solutions. Chrome, therefore, has the unique ability to engage with product developers directly when there are issues in the field or when they want to know how the software is used in real scenarios.
Chrome Consulting is a strategic consulting firm focussed on the document enabling business processes within SAP and Microsoft. A large part of our offer incorporates the SAP resold OpenText solutions which include Extended ECM (XECM), Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) and Archiving and Document Access (ADA).
Whilst our primary focus is the OpenText solution, we also offer consulting services is the native SAP offerings including SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Document Management System (DMS) along with Process Mining using Celonis.
Chrome Consulting is the most experienced of the SAP implementation partners in SAP Content Management. Our customer base extends to more than 80% of the SAP Extended ECM implementations conducted in Australia and New Zealand, and 50% of the VIM implementations.
Our consultants boasts a number of Australian and world first for OpenText implementations including the first implementation of XECM for EAM in Australia, the first implementation of XECM for SRM in the world, the first upgrade to XECM 16 globally and the first implementation of XECM for SuccessFactors in Asia Pacific.

Our Management
Meet The Team
Chrome Consulting was founded by Athol Hill and Daniel Jewell, two of the leading industry experts in SAP Enterprise Content Management in Australia. With more than thirty implementations across more than ten industries and five countries, the two directors remain actively engaged with customers at both executive and project level ensuring that customers receive a successful outcome with minimal risk exposure. These engagements extend to some of the largest implementations ever conducted in Australia and the world.
Dan and Athol were joined by Mark Frear in 2018. The leadership team has now enabled Chrome to double in size every year with a customer base that includes some of the largest SAP customers in Australia.
Mark Frear
Director and CEO
NSW Based Mark Frear joined Chrome Consulting in 2018 after 21 years at SAP. Mark held many roles at SAP, from consulting to sales. In 2011 Mark led the largest growth of SAP/OpenText sales in ANZ; he was also a member of SAP Australia’s leadership team. In Mark’s spare time, he can be found at the tennis courts, walking his large dog or watching his children play sport.
Athol Hill
Founder and Sales Director
Victorian-based Athol Hill founded Chrome Consulting in 2014 with the vision of “providing niche expertise to help customers reduce the risk associated with the implementation of complex SAP ECM solutions”. Athol is a veteran in SAP Enterprise Content with more than 20 years SAP ECM consulting and project management experience across Africa, APAC and the Middle East. On weekends, Athol can be found kitesurfing or doing photography to wind down from work.
Daniel Jewell
Customer Success Director
Based in Victoria, Daniel joined Chrome Consulting as a director with Athol Hill in 2015. As our Head of Customer Success, Daniel brings over 25 years of experience supporting customers along their Enterprise Content Management journey. Daniel and our team work with customers to identify where processes and usage of the SAP and OpenText solutions can be improved to increase user adoption, increase workplace safety, improve efficiency and therefore reduce operational costs, improve outcomes and reduced impact on the environment through digitisation.
Daniel has worked in a variety of roles from an implementation consultant to a solution architect supporting our customers in the legal, mining, local-state-federal government, manufacturing and utilities sector.
Pallavi Garg
PMO/Business Support Manager
Based in Victoria and originally from India, Pallavi joined Chrome Consulting in 2016. An experienced Software Test Manager passionate about process and continuous improvement, she transitioned into managing PMO alongside Business support and is now responsible for all PMO Governance activities.
As an analytical and detail-oriented professional with attention to detail, she is streamlining the process and working with key metrics in the Finance & Project areas to establish a repeatability Delivery Model to achieve higher customer satisfaction. Her hobbies include dancing to Bollywood songs and watching tennis matches with her family.
Lucas Gasparis
Head of CoE - Platform Consultant
Based in Victoria, Lucas Gasparis heads up Chrome’s Centre of Excellence after joining in 2019, following a career in several technical and business consulting roles, including B2B sales. He has experience working with OpenText, Documentum, SAP, SharePoint and cloud services Azure and AWS.
Passionate about all things technical, Lucas’ understanding of system integration and business principles offers a dynamic skillset and perspective on continual operational excellence, project readiness and effective resource and demand management. As the Head of CoE, Lucas is also responsible for running our graduate program. Outside work, Lucas loves all things food and enjoys mountain biking and motorcycle riding.
Christa Roets
ECM Principal Consultant
Originally from South Africa, Christa Roets joined Chrome Consulting in December of 2016. Christa is based in Melbourne Victoria and has been working in this industry since 2001.
Her main focus is on OpenText for SAP solutions, specifically aimed at Extended ECM, and Data and Document Archiving solutions, which includes the OpenText Archive and Storage offerings.
She is passionate about helping others, rugby and enjoys good food and anything outdoors.
Jo Bain
Principal Consultant - Information Management
Based in Victoria, Jo joined Chrome Consulting in 2016. Jo has worked in Information Management since 2002 specialising in ECM but with experience in Knowledge Management, Library and Records Management, public information service provision and Ux. Jo has worked across a range of industries and projects and is passionate about ensuring technical solutions serve the needs of both organisations and people. Outside work, Jo roller skates, body boards and cooks some pretty flash food.
Fatima Yusuf
P2P Principal Consultant
Based in Victoria and originally from the UK, Fatima joined Chrome Consulting in 2016. An accomplished Principal Consultant/Practice Lead with a passion for business optimization, she has in-depth experience with digital transformation and a commercial mindset to add value. Her past roles in the tech industry have given her a deep appreciation for the intersection of business, technology, and customers and the importance of managing business stakeholder relationships effectively. Her hobbies include her busy and chaotic family life with 3 young children and family pet Benji. Her other passions are good food, good coffee, travel, friends, and her book club.
Apollo Raymundo
Senior Project Manager/P2P Lead
Apollo has been working in SAP consulting since 2007, back when he was still based in the Philippines. He started working on OpenText solutions (SAP/OpenText VIM) when he moved to Singapore in 2012. He joined Chrome Consulting in 2020 and has been based in NSW since 2021.
He started out as a functional consultant and ventured into project management, gaining his PMP certification from Project Management Institute in Mar 2012. Apollo brings with him project implementation experience from different countries across ANZ, Asia, and Europe across different industries.
When he is not busy with work, Apollo enjoys meeting his friends for drinks, hang outs and board games.
Andrew Choong
ECM Senior Consultant
Based in Victoria, Andrew joined Chrome Consulting in 2016. Andrew has worked in various roles in the Information Management, ECM and records management industry since 2005, bringing a passion for customer-focused service solution delivery. He has worked in areas with a focus on OpenText, SAP, Microsoft Azure, AWS and cloud-enabled specific solutions, across various industries including technology, legal, mining, finance and utilities.
Andrew’s goal has always been working closely with customers, identifying opportunities to enhance & improve on their business processes, and a successful solution delivery. He also enjoys good food, travel and has a passion for up-and-coming technologies.
